Hello, October!!
I love fall. It is my absolute favorite season. I love the colors of the leaves, the cooler temperatures, the smells of cinnamon, pumpkin and apples. Along with the change of season, the products I use tend to change as well. I have pretty dry skin, so I use much different skincare and makeup items to combat dryness. I also use different shades of makeup, usually deeper colors. In this post, I am going to list some of my fall "must haves"!
1. Lip balm.
I am a complete lip balm junkie. (And I HATE typing the words "lip balm"... I always type lip 'blam'.. argh!) I hate having dry lips. My favorite lip balms are the ones that are sort of thick and goopey. I don't particularly like many of the tube form ones, because they feel dryer when you apply them. My personal favorite is the MAC Naked Honey salve. I bought 2 of these when they come out and they are still my fave! Very similar to Vaseline, with honey added.
Other faves:
- Rosebud Salve
- Body Shop lip butters
- MAC tendertones
- MAC tinted lip conditioner
- Vaseline
2. DARK nail polish
My skin is paler, so these dark colors look awesome:
- OPI Royal Rajah Ruby
- OPI You Don't Know Jaques
- 2 newbies - Sally Hansen complete salon manicure (from the new fall colors) Bittersweet & Fedora
3. Plum blush
Again, looks awesome on pale skin
- MAC On A Mission (Style warriors)
- MAC True Romantic
- MAC Stark Naked
4. Nude blush
An alternative to the plum, very natural flush!
- NARS Madly
- NYC South Street Seashell
- Hard Candy Pinup & Honeymoon
5. Lotion
I have seriously dry skin. I LOVE lotions that are really thick and moisturising.
- Body Shop body butters (Satsuma is my fave)
- Suave Cocoa Butter lotion
- Vaseline Cocoa Butter lotion
- Jergens Shea Butter
In terms of hand cream:
- Victoria's Secret (I think its just called "The Hand Cream", in a pink tube)
- Bliss Macadamia Nut Cream
Face cream:
- Vaseline at night
- Clinique dramatically different lotion
6. Dark lips
If I'm using the more nude color blush, I like to use a darker lip color.
- Clinique Black honey & Black plum almost lipstick
- Maybelline Lip stains
- Maybelline "Cranberry craze" lip gloss (Color sensational range)
- Revlon also makes some great darker glosses
- MAC viva glam v
- MAC star nova
7. Scarves!
Fashionable, spruce up a bland outfit and keep your neck warm.
- Leopard print
- Hot pink or red pashmina
- Black and white patterned
8. Boots
- I'm far too cheap for Uggs, and it grosses me out that you're not meant to wear socks with these. I have Sketchers knockoffs, and I love them!
9. Flats
- Super cute with jeans or for work. Plus very comfy!
- Come in solid colors and patterns.
10. Hot drinks!
- Along with the cool temps, come the hot drinks. My personal fave is Starbucks Cinnamon Dulce latte. (Can't WAIT for the Starbucks holiday drinks... Peppermint Mocha, here I come!!)
I hope this was helpful/insightful for ideas for fall! Bundle up, and enjoy the beautiful sights, smells and tastes of autumn!!

On this Saturday night.
This summer, I find myself falling into this lazy, apathetic funk. I don't want to do anything, go anywhere, etc. I just don't WANT to. I don't get any joy or happiness from my life as it is right now. And let me say... that just totally sucks. It's been ebbs and flows these past few years, and I realise this is just a low point until I make some sort of change. But for now, I'm "content" (content minus the happy connotation) to just wallow and marinate in my lethargy.
One thing I've been doing this summer is reading. I finished my beloved Black Dagger Brotherhood series (much to my dismay. I loved this series so much it was like a death in the family when there were no more books to read. I might read them again). I've gotten into the True Blood show and started reading the books by Charlaine Harris and I'm addicted again. Right now I'm on "Definitely Dead".

I LOVE the character Quinn. I never really liked Bill in the novels. He's just.... BLAH. I like Eric a lot when he's staying with Sookie and has lost his memory ("Dead as a Doornail" I think). But now, we have Quinn. He's everything I want in a guy: strong, muscular, protective and he calls Sookie "babe"... Sure he turns into a tiger at the full moon. But seriously, we can deal! *sigh*
It's times like these when I retreat into fictional worlds for some semblance of fulfillment because my reality just sucks to me. I wonder if there is a place out there where your dreams and your reality meet and are one and the same?
Has anyone experienced that in their life? If so, please leave a comment. I would be delighted to live vicariously through you for just a moment :-)
Have a lovely night darlings!

Coming attractions...
I've realized that I have greatly neglected my blog. My old one from when I was still in college, on a different site, used to be such a great outlet for me to vent, share things, and just record my nonsensical goings-on. Well, I'm at a point in my life where I feel like there are going to be many changes made in the coming months, so I would like to get back into the swing of blogging and hopefully get the jumbled mess that my mind has become into some sort of order.
I'm not really sure that anyone reads this... If so, Hello! from my little corner of the world!
As the subject line denotes, here's a preview of "coming attractions" of what will soon be appearing on my blog.
- BLOG SALE! I've never done one of these before, but I would like to give it a go. In this sale, I will be including handbags, wallets, makeup and other odds and ends. I'm looking to clear out some room in my life!
- Product reviews. Makeup, skincare, haircare, etc.
- Recipies.
- Other ramblings from my chaotic mind.
If anyone is reading this, please feel free to leave a comment!! I would love to know you're here :-)
Have a lovely night,
Becky

3. What was the biggest problem you needed to correct? Redness/uneven skin tone. My skin is having massive irritation issues today.
4. Did you apply false eyelashes? No.
5. Did you do anything while applying makeup? Listen to music
6. Biggest makeup mishap today? Bare Minerals Matte. I try and try to love this brand... but it looks like a funky colored mask sitting on my skin no matter what I do. I had to take it all off and re-wash my face, thus making my face an irritated mess.

8. What's the most time-consuming part of your makeup routine? Foundation
9. What's part of your routine is the most fun? Blush or eyeliner
10. What part of your makeup makes the biggest difference in the way you look? Eyeliner and mascara

13. Do you do your hair or makeup first? Face makeup (foundation and blush) first, then dry my hair, then do my eye makeup.
14. Did you pack a makeup bag to take with you for the day? No. I was home all day like a bum.
15. When did you finish your makeup? Probably around... 2:50? even with the second application

CCO & Ulta haul!
Hey everyone!
Just made a shopping trip this morning with Mama and my aunt, and picked up some lovely goodies!
At the CCO near me, to my utter delight, they got in the Rose Romance collection things! *YAY!* I did not purchase anything from this collection when it came out, because back then I actually had some restraint and self control. *LOL!* So here is what I got:
Blush of Youth Beauty Powder: Soo pretty!
Way to Love lipstick: I love this! Nudey pink color
A Rose Romance lipstick: much more pink than I tend to go for, but its lovely!
Redhead MSF: i've been looking for this for EVER! I love the blonde one, but Brunette is too dark. This is the perfect one!
Moon River mineralize blush (yes the Grand Duos were there too! unbelievable!)
Russian Red lipglass: I am usually not a red lip girl, but I think wearing this gloss over a nude lipstick will be gorgeous in wintertime
Idol Eyes eyeshadow: I love glittery silver shadows
And from Ulta:
Too Faced Natural Eye palette: GORGEOUS! If you love neutral eyes, this is a MUST HAVE! The colors are amazing and the pigmentation is great!
Too Faced Blush in Pinch My Petals: the perfect pink color! I have very fair pale skin, so it is very hard to find a blush that works without looking clownish! Loves it!
Smashbox Eyeshadow Trio in Panorama: This is the purple one. I looove purple eyeshadows, and the nice thing about this trio is that its totally wearable for work and daytime. The lid color is a gray/tan/purple mix (reminds me a lot of Quarry by MAC, actually). And then you can always smoke it out for nighttime! Great for travel too, since they're all in one pot.
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Underground: This is a gorgeous color for a brown look. Its my first 24/7 liner, but definitely not my last!
OPI "Bullish on OPI" polish: From the Espana collection, its a beautiful red! Reminds me of the flamenco dancers I saw in Seville!
Korres Lip Butter in Guava: Smells awesome, super delish feeling on lips, nice creamy white, so you can wear it over a dark lipstick and it will tone it down.
Korres Guava Body Butter: a free sample since I bought a Korres product! I pretty good size sample too, I might add! The smell is delish!!! And of course, since its a body butter, its super moisturizing!
So that's my haulage for the day! Hope everyone has a lovely Labor Day weekend!

Catching up..
I had the opportunity to catch up with my best friend from High School today. It has been about 4 years since we last met up and talked! Hard to believe that! It was so nice to just sit and chat about everything that has been going on lately in our lives. The amazing thing is that even after 10 years, we are still the same people inside that we were as freshmen. Everything and everyone else seems to change, but we are still the same goofball outcasts. I love it.
I also love how after all that time of not seeing each other, we can still get into a comfortable rapport and talk freely about anything and not worry or censor anything. It's refreshing and comforting to have that with someone. I keep so much of my feelings all bottled up inside, because there is usually not one person I am freely and completely comfortable talking to about anything. It was so nice to be able to say what I was thinking and not worry about how he was going to react.
If only I had the courage to act this way with anyone, regardless of what I thought they might say.
